Questions, answered

The most common questions about sleep apnea and TMJ care at Amoré. Don't see yours? Call us or book a consult.

Do you really treat patients outside Michigan?

Yes — we offer virtual consults and coordinated care in many US states. Availability depends on your state's rules; we confirm it before you book. In-person care is at our Farmington Hills office.

Why do I need a physician for sleep apnea?

Sleep apnea is a medical condition. By law and standard of care in every state, a medical provider must diagnose it from a sleep test before oral appliance therapy. We screen you, coordinate that diagnosis, and provide the appliance afterward.

Is an oral appliance better than CPAP?

For snoring and mild-to-moderate sleep apnea — or for people who can't tolerate CPAP — a custom oral appliance is a comfortable, effective, travel-friendly option. Your physician helps decide what's right.

Can TMJ be fixed without surgery?

Most TMJ symptoms are managed with conservative, reversible care: a custom orthotic, habit changes, and follow-up. We always start with the least invasive approach.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your diagnosis, your insurance, and the treatment. Sleep care is often billed to medical insurance; TMJ varies. We give you a clear estimate before anything begins. See Insurance & Billing.
